Today is my little guy’s 7th birthday! Yay!!! The day started with sticky, sweet cinnamon rolls and will continue with a trip to Chili’s for lunch followed by a trip to our local zoo and park, a small birthday party mid-afternoon, and a special treat for dinner. It’s going to be a wonderfully busy day.

Our family lives in a rural area on Delmarva, about 45 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, and we are one household in a line of four on our road who all belong to four generations of the same family; hence the name of this blog: Adventures in Furryland.
My DH works a lot, but when he has free time, he spends it with us, or works on home improvements. My boys are Christian homeschooled, and very smart! My teen is a piano prodigy who loves playing soccer and drawing, and my first-grader is a math whiz who loves to play outside.
And me, well I'm the writer of this blog, and my newest hobbies are handpainting yarn and knitting. I also enjoy photography, graphic design and crocheting. I'm the homeschool teacher, errand runner, appointment keeper and accountant. And I'm as obsessed with yarn as my DH is with Nascar and the NFL. Welcome to our blog!

That made my day! Otters have always been a favorite animal of mine. What I loved was how they got separated and the one otter floated back and took the other’s paw again. How sweet!
