I’ve received a response to the second WordPress support ticket I sent. According to Mark, they are waiting on a fix for this bug so the “insert/edit image” tree button works properly again. He informed me of what I temporarily need to do when inserting images into posts:
Edit the post and click the Code tab.

This is an image test… see those two dots on the right? That used to be a full-size image. Whenever I use the insert/edit image button to alter an image with alignment, spacing, etc., I get these two dots in place of my image. Does anyone know what’s causing this?
